It’s really hard to endure the pain inflicted by somebody really close and dear to us, am i right? But that does mean that we should stay. Bitter for the rest of our lives?
After our CrossOver from PBS, we waited outside for our friends. As we were waiting, we saw a still kitten near the PBS entrance. I, being fund of critters and creatures alike, went near it and caressed it’s smooth but dirty fur, and I thinks the car enjoyed it too. My friends went and did the same and the cat, as i could see, has been enjoying it. But, maybe, for some unknown reason, the cat just went berserk and started throwing it’s sharp claws into the air, grabbing my finger in the process, giving it a small cut. As I looked at that event, I realized, wow, it is really hard for our loved ones if we make them disappointed or if we hurt them. Like the cat in the story, I was loving caressing it, but still, the cat made an impression that i as a threat or something. It hurt me, without it knowing that i only want to make it happy.
We had some instances in our life where we are hurt by circumstances initiated by our loved ones. It may be a circumstance of other people, it maybe a circumstance of time, or what have you. These instances could NEVer be avoided and I mean NEVER. So what are we gonna do about it.?
We should move on, forget it, and use it as a stepping stone to improve ourselves even more. Am I right? If you hurt somebody, apologize and admit your mistake, be humble!! If somebody hurt you, forgive and forget, even he/she still hasn’t apologized. If we would give our bitterness to take root into our life, we will never be happy, and furthermore, we could never make anybody happy, even God.
As for the cat, well, as i explained before, I was fond of it. Even with the cut in my finger, I still played with it, until it just jumped out. Bitterness and pride are two major traits that we humans should really avoid. If these traits take root into our hearts and our lives, we could never move on and we could never be complete and content with our life.
Now, I ask you, do you have a pain from a loved one? Have you hurt others specially your loved ones..? Forgive, forget, admit, apologize!! And on top of it all, ask God for guidance and healing. I tell you, your life would be better!
God bless!!
